After months of contract disputes, Killer Kross is finally now a free agent. And, if the usually reliable WrestleVotes is to be believed, the former Impact Wrestling star is a major priority for WWE.

WWE’s interest in Killer Kross goes back way over a year, with the company having a long-standing interest in the 34-year-old.

Having been with Impact since June 2018, this past May saw Kross ask for his release from the company after taking umbrage with how he was being used creatively. Given that the Las Vegas native was tied to Impact until December 2019 – plus the small fact that Impact had the option to extend that contract by a further year – Impact was adamant that the grappler would not be granted his release.

Having not competed for Impact Wrestling since July, the call was finally made earlier this month to grant Killer Kross his release. Since then, it’s been confirmed that Kross will be making his MLW debut in February, but now it looks as if WWE is looking to firm up their interest in the hugely talented star.

As a point of interest, Scarlett Bordeaux – the girlfriend of Killer Kross – signed a developmental deal with WWE just last month.

Given the fact that WWE is keen to scoop up any substantial free agents right now in an attempt to stop them going to AEW, the ball seems well and truly in Killer Kross' court here. With the prospect of a good pay day and being able to spend more time with his partner, it could be that WWE's offer is just too good to turn down.
