3. Stephanie McMahon Was The One Who Put Sami Zayn Against Braun Strowman

Overall, Monday Night Raw has been a fine program since the WWE Draft in July. Stars like Kevin Owens and Charlotte have been able to come into their own as top heels. Unfortunately, others like Sami Zayn have become more akin to bit-part players, pushed aside and mainly used to enhance others.

This has been written into Sami's storyline on Raw. Failing to beat The Miz and bring the WWE Intercontinental Title to Monday nights, Zayn was 'punished' by way of a match opposite Braun Strowman this week. It was Mick Foley who told Sami what was happening, although he did so with a begrudging tone to his voice.

Egging her General Manager on, Stephanie McMahon was delighted when Mick broke the news to the babyface underdog. Proof that it was Steph who concocted the idea was hammered home when Foley stopped Sami's beating at the hands of Strowman later.

The insinuation was supposed to be that the Commissioner had come up with the match, McMahon simply forced Foley to tell Zayn about it. That wasn't properly explained though, meaning it would have been easily glossed over by fans.
