WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Jan 9)

10. Seth Rollins Channels The Spirit Of Rob Van Dam

Many have likened Seth Rollins to a young Shawn Michaels, citing the man's dynamic in-ring style and smaller stature compared to the more traditional 'WWE Main Event' look. The latter argument doesn't really fly nowadays, Rollins is the same size as many of his headline peers on the current roster.

Coming out to save Roman Reigns from a beatdown at the hands of Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and the massive Braun Strowman, Seth was armed with a trusty steel chair. WWE's modern camera techniques may have caused some to miss what he did with that chair.

Nowadays, the production truck switch camera angles whenever there's impact on a big move. That was the case here, Rollins hurled the chair at Strowman before planting him with a beautiful Spin Kick.

Of course, this is something Rob Van Dam did for many years. Calling the move a 'Van-Daminator', the ex-ECW star became famous for caving skulls in between the steel and his boot. Seth took a page out of Van Dam's book on Raw, it's just a shame the camera didn't catch it at a better angle.
