WWE RAW 9/23/2013 Review: 5 Things We Learned

2. HHH & Stephanie McMahon: Their New Corporation Is Compelling

By now its no secret that behind the scenes the WWE is essentially run by HHH. Vince has really scaled back his role and is letting his daughter and her husband run the show, and his role on TV is fairly non-existent; certainly not the weekly viewings that we are currently getting from Steph and Hunter. That said, their New Corporation is coming along nicely, what with screwing the babyfaces on a weekly basis and constantly reminding everyone that they are in charge. What most of us fail to realize, though, is that this new regime is actually very compelling. Triple H is always at his best when he is a heel, and a slimy heel at that. And Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is doing the best mic work of her entire on-air career. She is excelling at keeping the Divas in line, and downright brutal on the mic when confronting Superstars in the ring or backstage. What we are witnessing is a changing of the guard at WWE; this is the new Corporate Era, having learned from the best during Vince's run against Steve Austin all those years ago, and putting a new twist on the evil ruling class by doing it as a power couple.
