WWE Raw Draws Lowest TV Rating Since ThunderDome Debut

WWE's red brand drops down to pre-ThunderDome levels.

This week's WWE Raw experienced a considerable dip in viewership, hitting a floor not seen since the ThunderDome's debut last month.

The Labor Day episode averaged 1.73 million viewers across its three hours. This is Raw's lowest number since 16 August, when the show dipped to a miserable 1.643 million, and breaks down as follows:-

Hour one: 1.76 million viewers

Hour two: 1.80 million viewers

Hour three: 1.61 million viewers

The overall figure represents a drop of 9% from the previous week's 1.896 million. Raw was down in the key 18-49 demographic as well, falling from 0.58 to 0.48 - a slide of 17%. More concerning is the 30% drop in viewers aged between 18 and 34.

Compared to last year's Labor Day figures, Raw was down 31% in overall viewership, 42% in 18-49, and 58% in 18-34. Younger viewers keep tuning out of this show in droves.

It must be acknowledged that WWE faced considerable sports competition this week, going up against NBA playoffs games, college football, and the NGL as well. A rough night all-round, though at least Raw was still able to finish fifth for the night on cable.
