In addition to Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley's inevitably bruising 'Falls Count Anywhere' match, WWE this weekend announced via social media that Raw will feature a huge first-time-ever meeting of two of the company's more decorated tag teams of recent years.

SmackDown's The New Day, the longest reigning tag champs in the modern era, will migrate to Monday's show to take on former NXT juggernauts The Viking Raiders, in what WWE are describing as "easily the biggest opportunity of their tenure on Raw thus far."

Since moving up from the black and gold brand, the former Hanson and Rowe - bizarrely renamed Erik and Ivar (or is that Ivar and Erik?) - have enjoyed, shall we say, mixed results on Raw. Their big debut wasn't helped by being lumbered with the peculiar 'Viking Experience' moniker for their first week, before overwhelming mockery saw the name changed.

Monday's match against the New Day in Dallas, TX's American Airlines Center gives the nominal Nordic pair an opportunity to show main roster followers precisely what they're made of. Though nothing specific is on the line, it ought to be an absolute belter.
