WWE Raw Match Getting HUGE Backstage Praise This Week
... and the wrestler coming in for specific praise after an impressive Raw performance.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that the 10-woman tag team match from this week's episode of WWE Raw received strong backstage praise.
Set-up during a Raw Women's Championship contract signing segment, the bout pitted Bianca Belair, Dana Brooke, Liv Morgan, Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley against Becky Lynch, Carmella, Doudrop, Queen Zelina and Tamina. Running close to 20 minutes in total, it concluded with Morgan scoring the pinfall ahead of her title fight with Lynch next week.
Johnson writes that many people within WWE were "thrilled" with how the match came out. The feeling is that the wrestlers rose to the occasion, with Dana Brooke coming in for particular praise after taking a big bump to the outside, where she was caught by some of the other participants.
Doudrop, too, was singled out for strong praise.
WWE's goal in putting the match together was to get Morgan over ahead of the Lynch bout, which will be the biggest of her career. They feel that this was accomplished.
Morgan has been feuding with Lynch for several weeks now. WWE announced their Raw Women's Title clash for next week during the show.
