WWE Raw Plans Torn Up After Positive COVID-19 Test
Here's what WWE had planned for Raw before the pandemic took hold...
Jeff Hardy has tested positive for COVID-19.
The recordBar in Kansas City, Missouri, which was due to host an event featuring the former WWE Champion ahead of tonight's episode of Raw in the city, announced the following:-
Dear ticket buyer - we regret to inform you that the event with Jeff Hardy to take place on Monday July 26, 2021 at recordBar in Kansas City, MO will have to be postponed to a later date. Jeff Hardy just tested positive for covid this morning, and will have to quarantine for the next two weeks, and will not be participating in any live events for the next two weeks. For now, all tickets will be held to await a rescheduled date. Once the new date is announced, if you cannot attend the new date, please email info@leopresents.com for a refund. You will receive another email from us when the new date is announced. Thank you for your understanding.
WWE itself has knot acknowledged the positive test result, as is company policy. Nonetheless, Hardy's enforced two-week quarantine has forced the promotion to change things up for Raw.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that Hardy was originally set to wrestle Karrion Kross tonight. This would be a rematch from last week, where Hardy defeated the NXT Champion in under two minutes by planting his feet on the ropes. Obviously, this is now off the table.
There is currently no word on whether or not WWE has made alternative plans for Kross.
All the best to Jeff in his battle with COVID-19.
