Bobby Lashley is your new WWE Champion; 16 years after his first appearance on WWE television and despite The Miz trying every trick in the book from feigning stomach cramps to getting himself counted out, Lashley comprehensively defeated Miz and submitted him in the main event to reach the pinnacle of this sport.

Last night's show also saw the return of former champ Drew McIntyre, who emerged victorious from a hard-hitting duel with former friend Sheamus to re-establish himself in the title picture and potentially put his name forward as Lashley's challenger at 'The Show Of Shows'.

Another Mania match that seems to be taking shape is Randy Orton versus 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt. Their story took another surreal twist on Raw with Alexa Bliss seemingly summoning a demonic doppelgänger of Orton who once again had no answer for Bliss & Wyatt's twisted games.

Finally, an impromptu tag team title match took place last night, with The Hurt Business successfully defending their belts against the team of Braun Strowman and (of all people) Adam Pearce. This bizarre turn of events was courtesy of the booking of Shane McMahon, which led many to question what the hell is going on with him?!
