Randy Orton finally returned on last night's Raw but rather than set up the seemingly inevitable tag team title win for RK-Bro at SummerSlam in a few weeks, he broke the hearts of not just his partner Riddle but many expectant fans by turning on him following the main event.
We'll all admit that Riddle can be an unbearable annoyance at times, but watching the glee at seeing Orton return become sadness as a tag reunion was rejected became even more tragic as the show closed with a devastating RKO...Randy may as well have punted a puppy.
Elsewhere on Raw, Baron Corbin made a surprise appearance on the red brand as a hired gun for Jinder Mahal in his ongoing feud with Drew McIntyre, but Corbin's bad luck continued as the Scotsman gave him a Claymore rather than the $100,000 he requested to "help him get back on his feet."
Karrion Kross finally got his revenge on Jeff Hardy for his fluke win on Kross' debut, more matches were added to the stacked SummerSlam card, and Elias declared his old self "dead" as he tossed his signature guitar on a fire?!
