WWE RAW Spoiler: Daniel Bryan To Surrender WWE Title Tonight
SEScoops.com, who initially reported on Bryan's neck surgery last month. The decision to strip Bryan of his title came after news broke that he wouldn't be able to compete at the Money in the Bank event on June 29th against Kane. Since Bryan won't be able to defend the WWE Title against Kane, that means there will be a Money in the Bank match for the title (or titles since they still carry around two of them). We already know that Alberto Del Rio is a qualifier for it. There's no indication on who else might be in it or how many people there will be, but it's probably going to be at least six people. It might be seven or more too. If we had to guess at this point then guys like John Cena, Kane, Cesaro and Bray Wyatt would have to be considered favorites for it. This would also mean that there's a very good chance that there will be a second Money in the Bank match with the coveted briefcase on the line that grants somebody a title shot any time and any place for the next year. Bryan is at Raw tonight for what is likely going to be another promo segment with Stephanie McMahon. He has been undergoing tests for several week now. Last week the Wrestling Observer reported that Bryan's recovery was going slow and that he hadn't regained all the strength in his right arm. That's why WWE announced what they did last week on Raw when they said Bryan would either face Kane or be forced to forfeit the WWE Title. This isn't the news that a lot WWE fans wanted to hear, but when Bryan underwent surgery last month there was always a question of when he might be able to wrestle again. There were estimates that said it might be 6 to 8 weeks with the idea that he would only miss Payback and then be ready for Money in the Bank. It looks like that isn't going to happen now. As far as Bryan's health goes, it would probably be in his best interests and those of WWE as well, that he be held out until SummerSlam as long as he's physically able to compete by then. If he's ready at the end of July then they could bring him back for Battleground in Tampa although that's not really a major show. SummerSlam is. Keep him out until he's 100%, but it's okay to plan it around a big event like SummerSlam too. For WWE's product it means they will have to change things up and it will make Money in the Bank a must watch event on June 29 due to the uncertainty surrounding a vacant WWE Championship once again.
