According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has re-signed Bayley to a new multi-year deal.

This play is consistent with Dave Meltzer's report last month, in which he revealed that WWE is driven in its pursuit of fortifying its star roster, contrary to murmurings that things might change in a post-Endeavor world. Indeed, this news follows reports that Charlotte Flair has very recently signed one of the biggest money deals ever offered to a women's division talent.

Bayley is heavily figured into current storylines on SmackDown; a split from Damage CTRL and subsequent face turn have been heavily telegraphed on television for a while now. This news indicates that there is now ample time and opportunity for Bayley to - at long last - rediscover the vast potential she once held as a babyface in NXT. Comparisons to John Cena were not uncommon in 2015.

A staggering eight years have elapsed since that time, but as evidenced by a very strong outing against Bianca Belair on the October 27 SmackDown, she remains an excellent performer - who, at 34, is just entering the traditional "wrestler's prime" phase of her career.
