PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that NXT personnel were "thrilled" with Battleground. Some regard it as the developmental brand's best "milestone" event in a while, and "miles ahead" of WrestleMania 39 weekend's Stand & Deliver premium live event.

For this wondering why NXT chief Shawn Michaels didn't host a post-Battleground media c all, this was down to much of WWE's PR department being in transit from Saudi Arabia following Night Of Champions.

Headlined by Carmelo Hayes successfully defending the NXT Championship against rival Bron Breakker, Battleground also featured Tiffany Stratton defeating Lyra Valkyria, capturing the NXT Women's Championship in her first title victory as a ground-up company prospect.

Ilja Dragunov and Dijak contested the most acclaimed bout of the night, a brutish Last Man Standing match built around stiffness and intensity. Elsewhere, there were successful title defences for Wes Lee, Noam Dar, and Gallus.
