D-Generation X celebrated its 25th anniversary as one of WWE's most influential groups on Raw this Monday night, but they didn't have the entire band back together.

Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac and Road Dogg all turned out for the festivities, appearing in backstage segments before closing out the show doing their entrance and catchphrases. But one member - Billy Gunn - was absent due to working for AEW.

But despite his absence, WWE did not entirely ignore the missing member. Road Dogg cut his usual spiel, which includes references to his longtime tag team partner. In this case, Dogg said DX proudly presented one-half of its seven-time tag team champions of the world, uttered his name, and then held the mic out to let the crowd shout Gunn's name as part of the routine before finishing.

Immediately after, announcer Corey Graves quipped that "the other guy is doing something with office equipment these days," a reference to Gunn's current role as manager for AEW World Tag Team Championship The Acclaimed, who scissor as part of their gimmick.

The Acclaimed's Anthony Bowens didn't waste any time in responding to that quip:

Gunn has appeared in a WWE ring since joining AEW, when DX was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. However, Triple H also called AEW a "pissant company" during those ceremonies, which infuriated Gunn.
