WWE Releases 10 Wrestlers - More On The Way? (WWE News)

It's still up in the air whether or not more WWE cuts are coming after latest round of releases.

Fightful Select has announced that WWE just cut no less than 10 wrestlers from the roster - Wendy Choo, Adriana Rizzo, Zena Sterling, Anya Rune, Braxton Cole, Jasper Troy, PJ Vasa, Gary Wilson, Ellen Akesson and Marcus Brown were the unlucky ones released from their contracts.

It's unclear at time of writing whether or not anyone asked for their own release, or if these were all contract expiries. Fightful is still working to get that information out to wrestling fans, so it should follow in due course.

However, the website has heard that main roster cuts aren't expected to follow at this time. That'll be a relief to those who haven't been seen on Raw, SmackDown or NXT programming lately. It'll also help fans sleep easier at night, because nobody likes to hear of wrestlers losing their spot on the books.

Choo, Rizzo and Troy will be considered the highest profile releases of the clutch above. Choo had been part of the NXT scene for years before going on to become WWE Evolve Women's Champion. Meanwhile, Rizzo had been part of The D'Angelo Family on the developmental brand for a few years herself, but several major injuries had stopped her from progressing to the main crew.

Jasper Troy won the inaugural season of WWE's LFG series in 2025, and he also enjoyed a run as Speed Champion beyond that. His release probably spits in the face of the LFG concept, being brutally honest.

Fingers crossed Fightful's write up right and there are no further cuts.
