WWE Releases Statement Regarding Sexual Assault And Abuse Allegations

'Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.'

WWE have issued a statement in response to the numerous allegations of sexual assault and abuse made against several talents currently signed to their roster.

Stars such as Matt Riddle, El Ligero, Sid Scala, Jordan Devlin, Jack Gallagher and Travis Banks have all been accused of various acts of abuse and harassment on Twitter by women using the #SpeakingOut hashtag.

WWE have now confirmed they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. They also clarified that if a talent was arrested they'd be immediately suspended.

Here's the statement:

'Individuals are responsible for their own personal actions. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.

WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE.'

Jack Gallagher was the first accused star to be released from the company earlier today, with the company simply stating, 'WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Gallagher (Jack Claffey).'
