WWE Reveal Super-Unique Format For Money In The Bank 2020
Climbing the corporate ladder. Literally.
WWE announced on SmackDown that this year's Money In The Bank ladder matches will take place at company headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
That wasn't all.
Each MITB brawl will also be uniquely set up to start on the bottom floor of WWE HQ and end on the rooftops. Nope, that's not a typo - this is actually happening. Twitter is already split on the gimmick, but most of the feedback seems to be favourable thus far.
Most expect that WWE will mirror the wacky shenanigans seen during WrestleMania 36's gimmick bouts, like the 'Boneyard' and 'Firefly Fun House' matches, and make each one more cinematic. Or, they could plump for a lengthy, drawn-out (but totally 'live') affair like the 'Last Man Standing' match between Randy Orton and Edge.
Whichever they choose, these are already set to be the most bizarre MITB matches since the stipulation was born in 2005. That's fact; commentary hype from Michael Cole and Corey Graves isn't misplaced this time. They're bang on when they brag about these matches being a "first time ever" deal.
Let the madness commence on 10 May.
