WWE Roster "Really Upset" With Big E's Treatment
Wrestlers backstage aren't chuffed with how WWE are handling Big E in 2022.
PWTorch chief Wade Keller is reporting that several in WWE are "really upset" by the treatment "magnificent human being" Big E has been getting lately.
Keller's sources informed him that "people are really upset with the rug being pulled out from under him". E went from riding high as WWE Champion on Raw to reuniting with his old New Day mate Kofi Kingston in a tag-team over on SmackDown.
He was even hastily re-drafted over to Friday nights without much warning.
That hasn't been sitting well with a few on the WWE roster. The general feeling is that E didn't deserve to be demoted the way he has - recently, he and Kingston were working a short mini-feud opposite Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss pre-Drew McIntyre's return.
In other words, even that was a gap filler for creative until they could continue the real story they wanted to tell.
Many had been hoping that the 2022 Royal Rumble would rescue E's sagging fortunes, but he entered at the #26 position and only lasted approx six minutes before being turfed out by RK-Bro. The ex-WWE Champ didn't register a single elimination himself.
