The surprise final entrant into the Royal Rumble match, Triple H provided a much more satisfying conclusion to the bout than has been seen in more recent years. Even though he was booked to win the entire thing, 'The Game' satisfyingly didn't bury everyone involved, even giving some other heels a little respect. That came across loud and clear when he backed away from Bray Wyatt following a head-to-head confrontation. Some fans seemed to be licking their chops at the prospect of such an encounter, but it was not to be in the 2016 Rumble. The fact that Triple H backed down only made Wyatt look like more of a threatening character. It was a small touch from Triple H, but a clever one. It would have been easy for him to simply smash the heel and be done with it, but WWE want Wyatt to be a top star sooner rather than later. In order to achieve that, he needs to be treated like the madman he claims to be on television.
