WWE Royal Rumble 2022 will take place in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, 29 January 2022.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch have confirmed that The Dome at America's Center in the city's downtown area will host WWE's first 'Big Four' pay-per-view of the year. The building will be set up for over 40,000 fans, with the article noting that it'll be the biggest arena to ever host the Rumble.

WWE's previous Rumble attendance record stands at the 48,193 fans the company reported were in attendance at Phoenix, Arizona's Chase Field in 2019.

Fightful Select reported on 16 August that St. Louis had emerged as the frontrunner to host Royal Rumble 2022. It was noted at the time that "significant internal discussion" had gone into potentially moving the pay-per-view to early February for the first time, rather than late January, though today's confirmation keeps tradition intact.

The decision to hold the Rumble on a Saturday follows SummerSlam 2021 swapping over from a Sunday on 21 August, and WWE President Nick Khan claiming on 29 July's Q2 2021 earnings call that WWE "saw an opening" for future Saturday super-shows.

WWE had yet to make an official announcement on Royal Rumble 2022's date and location at the time of writing.
