With the Royal Rumble only nine days away, dirt sheets will soon become full of speculation concerning potential returns and possibly even debuts at this year's event. Last year's Rumble seemed to have a surprise entrant every two or three superstars, which could give the match a bit of a gimmicky feel at times, and whilst the WWE should try and avoid that this time around, they will no doubt throw in a few surprises to keep the fans guessing. Here are 5 possible surprise entrants for this year's Royal Rumble...
5. Billy Gunn
WWEs relationship with the former New Age Outlaw appear to be greater than ever at the moment; long out of his tenure with TNA Wrestling, he and former team-mate The Road Dogg hosted a Slammy, took part in the DX reunion on Raw 1000, and as recently as a month ago wrestled against Team Rhodes Scholars on a house show at Madison Square Garden in New York. With Road Dogg having made an appearance at last year's event (not to mention being kept busy working as a WWE Road Agent), it seems only fair that Billy Gunn should get his turn this time around, though both of them arriving in the ring one after the other would also be a great touch. Can you imagine "Oh you didn't know?" hitting, and they both come out together, while one waits outside the ring until the next minute is up?
