Sheamus and Sin Cara may have got into a real backstage altercation, reports the Wrestling Observer. The fight happened at this week's TV tapings in New York. The only other details to be confirmed are that Cara got the better of Sheamus. The Irishman has since responded on Twitter;
"Must be getting punchy. Don't remember being beaten up by Sin Cara backstage... It's just how Mexicans & we Irishmen hug it out fella ;)"
That quote doesn't actually deny something went on between the two men. It seems as if Sheamus wants to brush off the incident, he denies that Cara beat him up, but doesn't deny that an exchange took place. Perhaps he is bit embarrassed about being overcome by a much smaller man. Cara is currently portrayed by the former Hunico (real name Jorge Arias), weighing in at 180 pounds with a height of 5 feet 7 inches. Sheamus in comparison is 267 pounds and 6 foot 4 inches. It wouldn't be the first time Sheamus has reportedly been beaten up by a much smaller colleague. Before breaking into the main WWE roster, the Irishman shared a room with Yoshi Tatsu. Sheamus liked to see himself as the boss of the house and would constantly leave a mess wherever he went. One day, Tatsu had seen enough, some unwashed protein shakers made the Japanese star snap. Confronting Sheamus about it, Tatsu demanded more respect. The future Champion responded with arrogance, throwing the shaker at Tatsu and asking what he was going to do about it. That led to the New Japan graduate, who has some level of boxing training, physically beating Sheamus up. Perhaps the Irishman should stop fancying himself so much against the smaller WWE wrestlers.
