WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You May Have Missed (Nov 1)
10. James Ellsworth Got A Bigger Initial Pop Than Dean Ambrose
As soon as this week's SmackDown Live broadcast started, James Ellsworth's name flashed up on the screen, his entrance music played, and the man made his way to the ring. The purpose of Ellsworth coming out was that he wished to apologise for effectively causing Dean Ambrose to get disqualified last week.
Those listening intently to the live crowd would have noticed one thing: Not only did James Ellsworth get a fairly sizeable pop when he came through the curtain, the noise made for him was actually louder than the cheering for Dean Ambrose when he came out onto the entrance ramp.
That's insane to imagine: a lowly enhancement talent actually received a louder response from a WWE crowd than an established star. To top things off, AJ Styles got the biggest pop of the trio when he came out, again cementing that Dean Ambrose needs something different in order to remain part of the main event pack.
Shifting focus back to Ellsworth for a moment, he was treated like a star by the vast majority of the fans all night.
