The post-RAW invasion of SmackDown Live stars continued last night in Corpus Christi, as current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose appeared in the dark match alongside John Cena. The star duo went up against RAW superstars Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho, unsurprisingly coming up victorious to send the crowd home happy.

The duo appeared as per pre-draft advertising, as WWE continues to finish out the shows it had planned before the roster split. The presence of SmackDown Live performers in RAW dark matches and vice-versa is set to stop after SummerSlam, as the brand split will come into full effect in the aftermath of the Biggest Party of the Summer.

What will happen then? Well, I would expect either an increase in big name NXT stars working dark matches or a return to the post-show scene for those big veteran names that still possess a modicum of name value, men such as Big Show, Kane and Chris Jericho.

The time for the two separate rosters to stand up and create a legitimate identity is almost upon us, and the war between the two shows can begin to include gate numbers and more. Who will win the brand war?
