WWE SmackDown Spoilers 14/02/2012 - Elimination Chamber Battle Royal

WWE SmackDown taping spoilers from last night's show in Fresno, California. The following will air this Friday night as the go-home show going into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this Sunday. SmackDown begins with Teddy Long and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan talking backstage. Security are standing outside Teddy's office. He is concerned about the condition of Randy Orton and says he is forced to remove him from this Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. 1) Big Show & Great Khali defeated Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes. Post-match, Big Show turns on Khali and takes him out, turning fully fledged heel. Mark Henry is backstage and says he wants a spot at the Elimination Chamber match. Big Show walked in and said he wanted to face Daniel Bryan later tonight now that Randy Orton won't be appearing. Long says no and Show gets pissed, lays out Henry and messes up Long's office. Long told his security that if they see Big Show escort him out of the building. 2) Hunico deeated Ted DiBiase with the help of Camucho. Pretty sure we've seen that match a thousand times by now. 3) WWE Tag Team Champions Epico & Primo defeated The Usos. No word if this was a title match or not. Daniel Bryan comes out to cut a promo about his actions on Monday's Raw. He says he will win the Elimination Chamber and go on to defend his title at WrestleMania. He tells Lilian Garcia to announce him the winner of tonight's canceled match against Randy Orton by forfeit but Teddy interrupts and says instead it will be Sheamus vs. Bryan tonight. And it is next... 4) World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Byran defeated Sheamus in a non title match by DQ. Sheamus was pushing the referee after he went crazy because Bryan spit in his face. Bryan does his usual celebration. Backstage again and Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett get into Teddy Long's face and tell him they want to know who is going to replace Orton at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Teddy says to determine a worthy replacement there will be a Battle Royal tonight to fill the final spot. Any superstar from RAW or SmackDown can compete in the match. 5) Jinder Mahal defeated Ezekiel Jackson in a match that went very short. 6) Taminia & Alicia Fox defeated Beth Phoenix & Natalya. During the match the referee got distracted by Natalya's farting. Poor girl. 7) Santino Marella (!) won the Battle Royal to replace Randy Orton in the Smackdown World Title Elimination Chamber match on Sunday. The final four were David Otunga, Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson (yes who just got beat by Jinder above) and Santino Marella in what must be the most unlikely lower or midcard final four for a World Title slot in the history of the WWE. When Santino won he got a HUGE ovation for the crowd and I guess it wasn't the worst move the WWE could make as he will bring some buys for the pay-per-view and will have huge support for the event. Fans do love Santino. We guess Alberto Del Rio and especially Mark Henry or Christian, who would have been more obvious choices, are still not cleared to wrestle. Still no match for Sheamus days before the pay-per-view he is the poster child of before he goes on to 'main event' WrestleMania 28.
