WWE Stomping Grounds: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

Better than everyone expected. Mostly.

It's no exaggeration to say that expectations for WWE's inaugural Stomping Grounds show were pretty close to non-existent: the rematch-heavy card didn't do much at all to sell itself, nor did the build leading up to it.

And yet, in another case of a bizarrely-named, zero-hype PPV turning in surprisingly good results - looking at you, Great Balls of Fire - Stomping Grounds was actually a relatively solid, snappily paced show.

Fans were treated to consistently solid in-ring action, two great matches, and really only one match even approaching stinker status.

It wasn't a show for the ages by any means, but given how utterly listless the card read on paper, the superstars gave it their all to give fans a night filled with entertainingly athletic contests.

The show definitely lost itself in the final stretch, but up until that point it maintained an impressive baseline of decency, which for WWE is always going to be a bit of a shocker...
