WWE SummerSlam 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

10. Two Matches Get Punted To The Kickoff

Time to labour that intro point.

Eva Marie vs. Alexa Bliss and The Usos vs. Rey and Dominik Mysterio are the lame ducks on SummerSlam's card. One is TV fodder at best, and the other is a rematch that fans probably didn't need to see a second time on pay-per-view. So, in short, they should be booted to the pre-show.

There's no disgrace in that either. WWE may well run a two-hour long Kickoff this weekend, and they'll need something other than endless hype vids and roundtable banter to make those 120 mins watchable. Some supernatural shenanigans from Alexa (along with her doll Lilly) and a solid SmackDown Tag Title bout should do the trick.

Other, more important matches deserve the time this pair would steal. SummerSlam's main card doesn't need to be 87 hours long, and it doesn't need to be stuffed full of things that'd be better off on Raw or have already happened either.
