WWE SummerSlam 2021: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

2. WWE United States Title: Sheamus (c) Vs. Damian Priest

Result: Priest puts Sheamus away with the Reckoning to win the title (13:50).

Rating: The crowd was basically put to sleep after the Alexa/Eva Marie match, so Sheamus and Priest had to work hard to perk them up again, and that they certainly did.

This was a super-stiff, hard-fought, smash-mouth match with great pacing and some excellent, urgent near-falls throughout.

Sometimes you just want to watch two men beating the hell out of each other, and this delivered that in spades, while putting Priest over as a tough guy capable of hanging with a vet like Sheamus.

Both men came out of it looking spectacular, and this was clearly a big moment for Priest. Hopefully we'll get to see the two going at it again soon. 7/10
