After plentiful speculation around where this year’s WWE SummerSlam PPV will take place from, it’s now looks as if the company’s annual August event will emanate from Las Vegas, Nevada.

As per Sports Illustrated, SummerSlam has been internally confirmed for the state of Nevada, with PWInsider adding that this pretty much guarantees Las Vegas as the host city for the show.

No specific venue has been pinpointed yet for SummerSlam 2021, but WWE’s usual go-to Vegas spots are the T-Mobile Arena and the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Then again, given how WWE is said to be ideally looking at an outdoor venue for SummerSlam, that opens up the possibility of Allegiant Stadium.

There’s yet to be a date publicly announced for this year’s SummerSlam, but previous reports lean towards Sunday 22 August.

Additionally, the reason why WWE decided to bring Hell in a Cell forward to 20 June rather than the PPV’s traditional October setting was down to how HIAC visually works better in the ThunderDome setting. On the other side of this, Money in the Bank – which was previously planned for June – has been moved to 18 July as the concept of MITB leads itself better to a live crowd, should WWE be able to have fans physically in attendance.
