WWE SummerSlam 2025: 12 Nightmares That Could Come True
12. Charlotte Flair Turns On Alexa Bliss Early
This writer is having somewhat of an identity crisis right now. After literally years of bashing WWE's attempts to turn Charlotte Flair babyface, even he has to admit that this tag-team union with Alexa Bliss is working. Honestly, it's practically unbelievable, but Charlotte is finally getting organic babyface cheers from live crowds whilst appearing alongside her spooky doll-loving little friend.
WWE should really ride this, not cut things off just as they've started heating up. At SummerSlam, Charlotte and Alexa must become Women's Tag-Team Champions. Don't shed any tears for Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. They're a makeshift team born from Liv Morgan's injury more than a concrete creative plan, and they'll be absolutely fine once they drop the belts.
Besides, this new fangled incarnation of Judgment Day might well be the group's last. They're close to imploding for good, which could benefit 'We're Not Friends'. The sad thought here is that WWE get cold feet on Flair and Bliss as a long-term tag. They were never meant to get this far in the first place - Charlotte was probs going to turn on Alexa and lead to a match between them on PLE.
Instead, the writing team elected to see where the thawing frost between one time NXT hopefuls took them, and SmackDown has been better for that willingness to adapt. SummerSlam is far too early for Flair to revert to her old ways. WWE spent an age trying to beg fans to cheer for her, so they shouldn't toss all of the goodwill these recent weeks have built up away just to be contrary.
Keep this going for as long as possible.
