WWE Superstar Officially Gets First Name Back At Clash At The Castle
Change comes months after his name was shortened as WWE unravels strange decisions.
Recent reports that Austin Theory would be getting his first name back finally came to fruition Saturday at Clash at the Castle.
The change comes five months after Theory shed his forename in the days after WrestleMania 38, with the young superstar declaring that he and then-mentor Vince McMahon never liked the name Austin, which followed "Stone Cold" Steve Austin laying Vince out with a Stunner at Mania. In reality, it was part of a push to have superstars shed ring names they used on the independent scene. Wrestlers like Butch, Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser and Ciampa have seen their names modified in recent months.
As Theory, the upstart won - and lost - the United States Championship and then won the Money in the Bank briefcase, which he has unsuccessfully attempted to cash in on numerous occasions, including Saturday night.
During the kickoff show match for Clash at the Castle, Theory was announced as "Austin Theory," complete with chyron. He and Alpha Academy lost a six-man match to the Street Profits and Madcap Moss.

Then during the main event, Theory tried to cash in his MITB briefcase, only to be laid out by Tyson Fury.
WWE.com had not updated his name as of Saturday night.
