Hardcore Holly would remain with WWE until his 15-year run with the company was brought to an end in 2009.

Since then, Holly has remained active on the independent scene and most recently wrestled last year for the UK's World Association of Wrestling promotion. Co-authored with Ross Owen Williams, Holly also released his memoirs in 2013 with the phenomenal The Hardcore Truth: The Bob Holly Story.
