Just when you thought there wasn't enough WWE wrestling in your week, the company has announced that the 2016 edition of Survivor Series is going to be a four hour event. Taking place in Toronto (Canada), the show will be preceded by a one hour Kickoff show starting at 6pm ET (10pm UK time) before the main show itself runs through to 11pm (3am UK time).

WWE have also confirmed that the main event will see Brock Lesnar and Goldberg go one-on-one 12 years after their much-maligned WrestleMania XX bout. Ticketmaster have announced that the start time for the event will be 6.30pm ET.

So there you have it, another long night of WWE wrestling. Whilst it is easy to react to that news with a sense of dread, the 2016 brand split adds weight to the idea of the Big Four PPVs being longer shows. Along with Godlberg/Lesnar II three traditional Survivor Series elimination matches have been announced for the show, which are sure to feature some top level talent and will be lengthy bouts as a result.

WWE seems hell-bent on proving that more is more, and with a deeper roster than ever Survivor Series 2016 may prove them right.
