3. NXT Stars Sell War Games
Poor planning must be contagious.
WWE planned this inter-brand warfare shortly after a definitive, roster-splitting Draft, and they've booked NXT integration on the same weekend as TakeOver: War Games. It's clumsy, and it might end up hurting both shows if there's no recourse for some of the most physical gimmick bouts under the company banner.
Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley, The Undisputed Era and anyone else involved at War Games should show up on Sunday a little worse for wear. There's actually something to be said for whipping a few out of their matches if the action is hot and heavy enough 24 hours before. There's a proud gimmick to protect here.
At the very least, NXT's finest must look like they've been through hell at TakeOver. Their bruised, battered and knackered bodies could be an excuse the announcers use if a few of them are eliminated from multi-person matches early. Just a thought.
