It's been a fairly regular complaint in recent years that "gimmick PPVs" don't make the most of their titular stipulations, instead saving them for just one or two main event matches.

Of TLC's eight matches (if you include the pre-show), only the main event featured a single table, ladder or chair. How underwhelming, especially as several lower-card matches would've definitely been boosted by throwing a table or ladder into the mix.

On the other hand, some did appreciate that WWE didn't just shove weapons into matches for the sake of it, making everyone appreciate that absolutely bonkers main event that much more.
