WWE TLC 2017: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
1. AJ Styles Vs. Finn Bálor
Result: Bálor kills Styles with the Coup de Grace (18:20).
Rating: Though it definitely should've gone a little longer, this mostly lived up to the lofty expectations. It was extremely physical and fast-paced, with both men bumping hard throughout, and it felt very cohesive considering the lack of prep time they had and Styles being fresh off a long plane journey.
Bálor's main roster run has been pretty underwhelming so far, and this was exactly the sort of match he needed. Styles is a master at making both himself and his opponent look fantastic, and there wasn't a moment where the pacing sagged or this one wasn't a blast to watch.
Capping it all, that Coup de Grace looked astonishingly brutal. And with more prep time in a future match, we all know their next battle will be even better. 8/10
