Last week, I complained about Alberto Del Rio and Titus ONeill looking like heroes because of their fatherhood videos that aired on Raw. I guess they are two heels that perhaps arent bad people at all, so it makes it difficult to boo them and get emotionally invested in their matches. This week, WWE turned it up a notch when they showed a video of Stephanie McMahons work at the Special Olympics. Dont get me wrong, off the air, helping out at the Special Olympics is very cool on the companys part. However, on-air, it comes across as hey, look at us, arent we a great and caring company! It would be different if this were a one time thing, but WWE proudly displays their charitable work seemingly every week. Besides that, WWE is taking arguably the top heel in the company in Steph and showing that shes not actually that hateable of a person. Sure, she may look down on the fans, strip talent of titles, and make life a living hell for half the roster, but shell gladly help out charities in her free time. Isnt she wonderful? Why would someone like Brie Bella slap her? Why would Roman want to poison her? And most importantly, why would fans want to watch a show that cant have consistent characters?
