SuperLuchas reports that Randy Orton's future in the WWE is in major doubt after a "hostile" crisis meeting with Vince McMahon, Triple H and Kevin Dunn that was held at the WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut on Friday. Orton has served one week of his 60 day suspension from the WWE for his second failure of the WWE wellness policy and misses the next two pay-per-views WWE No Way Out and WWE Money in the Bank. The meeting was to discuss Orton's suspension and reports are that the atmosphere at last Friday's meeting was troubling and that a further decision regarding more punishment to Orton awaits. In fact, several WWE officials are lobbying for Orton to be fired as a cost-cutting measure. PWInsider further reports that WWE officials again met with Orton over the weekend and there is a big possibility 'The Viper" won't be brought back to television when his suspension is over and WWE may even keep him on the sidelines to "sit it out and stew" over his actions. This sounds far more likely than a firing as Orton is too valuable to the company long term to let him go when he is arguably the second biggest full-time draw in the company behind John Cena. Reports suggest that WWE are losing patience with superstars failing the WWE Wellness Policy and one change that could come into effect after Orton's suspension is that they may start announcing precisely which banned substances WWE talents are tested positive for. In terms of logistics, a rather more apparent change is more RAW branded Superstars working SmackDown tours whilst Orton is away and that brand's roster looking weak on the paper. WWE Tag Team Titles matches involving Kofi Kingston and R-Truth are expected to be moved over to SmackDown Live Events with the likes of Zack Ryder working more singles matches too. Plus we've already seen John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk also added to SmackDown tours. One positive for SmackDown is that Rey Mysterio is expected to return in a few weeks and will add some considerable star power to the SmackDown brand.
