The Hitman and the Black Hart: one brother who had achieved everything in the WWF and one who seemed destined to, if only he could get over his jealously issues. The pair had begun their feud at the Survivor Series of 93. In the middle of a traditional Survivor Series match, Bret Hart had accidently knocked into his brother, causing Owen to lose his focus before he was rolled up and pinned by Shawn Michaels. The elimination caused friction between the pair but they remained partners. At Royal Rumble 94 they teamed up against The Quebecers for the Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, Bret injured his leg and the match was stopped. Owen snapped and attacked Bret, bringing about their eventual match at WrestleMania X and Owens most famous victory. It was decided that Bret and Owen would face off once more at Summerslam in a steel cage match. That bout was undoubtedly one of the premier cage matches in WWE history. It was of a faster pace than the modern cage bouts, but at over 30-minutes it was a classic. Both brothers took turns at escaping but in the end it was Bret who came out the better. Owens leg got caught in the cage as Bret escaped. Jim Neidhart then attacked the British Bulldog, who had sided with Bret, and brought the Hitman back into the ring. Both men locked the door and continued to attack Bret until the rest of the Hart clan turned up to save the future WWE Hall-of-Famer.
