WWE: Top 10 Title Unifications In Modern Wrestling

7. The Dudley Boyz Defeat The Hardy Boyz To Unify WCW & WWF Tag Team Titles (Survivor Series, November 2001)

This was the end of the terrible Invasion angle, and in fact the two sets of titles had been briefly "unified" at Summerslam, with Undertaker & Kane squashing DDP & Kanyon to win both sets of tag titles. However, they lost both titles in separate matches, so it doesn't count. There is some dispute over how legit the claim of the "WCW" tag titles really was, given the promotion no longer existed, but it's wrestling so whatever. The match itself was every other Hardyz v. Dudleyz tag match you've ever seen, and in fact both teams would be split up fairly soon after this. Although the Dudleyz would re-team to win yet ANOTHER set of tag titles, the newly created WWE tag titles, in 2004. That puts them in elite territory, given they were ECW, WCW, WWF, WWE, NWA and TNA tag team champions over their career. Match Quality: Pretty good. Really, was there ever a BAD match between them? Long-term Significance: Unfortunately the unified titles were themselves later unified and dropped, so it didn't end up having much.
