16. First Round: Trent Seven Vs. H.C. Dyer

Result: Trent destroys Dyer with a hellacious Seven Star Lariat (5:25) to advance.

Rating: The crowd loved Trent Seven (complete with "Mustache Mountain" chants) which added a lot to this one, and the sheer surreal factor of hearing Michael Cole say "vintage Trent Seven" made it worth watching alone.

It's at least encouraging that the weakest match from the entire tournament was still totally watchable and a fine opener even if it didn't set the ring on fire.

Seven was without question the right guy to win here, though it'll be interesting to see how Vince reacts to his unconventional physique if WWE decides to move forward with him. 5/10
