Recent NXT signing Cora Jade has been pulled from her upcoming GCW match against AEW's Joey Janela.

The former Elayna Black was set to go one-on-one with 'The Bad Boy' at Game Changer Wrestling's "Fight Forever" event, scheduled for next Friday. Yet, due to the star being signed by WWE earlier in the week, the match has now been scrapped shortly after it was announced on Thursday.

In the wake of the bout being pulled from the event, Jade has taken to Twitter to apologise for the situation:

“So sorry to all the fans @GCWrestling_ & @JANELABABY for not being able to make the show. Some things kinda came up (grimacing face emoji) BUT it’s still gonna be a sick show so please watch and continue to donate if possible! #FightForever (black heart emoji)”

Her originally scheduled opponent, Janela, has also responded to the news on the social media site, replying to a since-deleted GCW tweet about the cancellation:

“NOT HAPPENING…. It was good to go, 5 min after we announced it, It wasn’t anymore lol I truly wish @CoraJadeWWE well, she has all the potential in the world and will be very rich! Just Unfortunately before she goes, she’s doesn’t get to wrestle the greatest wrestler in the (Earth emoji)”

After signing with WWE on Wednesday, Jade made her official debut for the company during this week's episode of 205 Live. The star teamed with fellow newcomer Gigi Dolan (the former Priscilla Kelly), ultimately coming up short against The Way's Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell in their Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round contest.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a long and exciting journey for the star in the land of WWE.
