It turns out the women will be getting into the action at Elimination Chamber as well.

WWE announced Monday that six women will step inside the Chamber at the eponymous “premium live event” later this month to earn a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship. Ahead of Raw, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Nikki ASH and Doudrop were announced.

The title match will take place at WrestleMania 38, which makes sense since Charlotte Flair is slated to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at the same PLE. Becky Lynch is current set to defend the Raw Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber against Hall-of-Famer Lita.

A sixth participant remains a mystery, but given WWE’s limited women’s roster, the most likely candidates would be a returning Alexa Bliss, Queen Zelina or Carmella. There also are a few superstars who have been on the shelf for quite a while who could conceivably step into the match, including Bayley, Asuka and Lacey Evans, though it would be strange to bring them back for this match unless they were going to win or get a decent push during the bout.

There have been two previous women’s Elimination Chamber matches, with the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions being crowned in 2019, and Shayna Baszler running through the entire field in 2020 to earn a shot at Lynch and the Raw women’s title at WrestleMania 36 – which she lost.
