Albano was both a masterful manager and an instrumental figure in the Rock N Wrestling Connection. His relationship with Cyndi Lauper was essential to WWE getting more exposure on TV, and his later projects in Hollywood helped cement his legacy and impact on both wrestling and Hollywood. Although his charges at WrestleMania I lost their match, that didnt stop him from becoming more popular. His work with Lauper led to MTV broadcasting The Brawl To End It All, which was critical to the success of the 1980s Wrestling Boom. He was such a major player in WWEs success that, without Albano and Lauper working together, WWE would've remained a regional promotion. Albano died on October 14, 2009, at age 76 from a heart attack. In response, WWE paid tribute to him, and he was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.
