Tito Santana holds the distinction of appearing in the first match at the first-ever WrestleMania, as well as being the only person other than Hulk Hogan to have appeared in the first nine WrestleManias. After WrestleMania I, Santana would go on to have a classic rivalry with Greg The Hammer Valentine, and would also have many classic tag matches against the Hart Foundation. He remained a popular act in WWE until his release in 1991. He would return later under the El Matador gimmick, becoming a jobber-to-the-stars for two more years. To this day, Santana still wrestles on occasion, making appearances for both WWE and other promotions. He has appeared on a few old school episodes of RAW, taken part in a six-man tag team match in Chikara, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
