Although hes most fondly remembered as Doink the Clown, Matt Osborne wrestled under the name Matt Borne at WrestleMania I. He was nothing more than a jobber-to-the-stars, and lost to Ricky The Dragon Steamboat in under five minutes. After this historic event, Osborne continued to wrestle regularly, and then semi-regularly, all across the country. Then, on June 28th, 2013, he was found dead in his apartment, from an apparent overdose of morphine and hydrocodone. Osborne was in the news earlier this year, as he was named as a plaintiff in an ongoing lawsuit against WWE. The lawsuit alleges that WWE sacrificed Matthew Osbornes brain for its own profit, and that his own troubles after his career, i.e. drug abuse and depression, were due to the toll WWEs demands had on him.
