Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are currently seven matches tentatively announced for this year's WWE WrestleMania 28, coming from Miami, Florida on April 1st. Those matches are; "Icon vs Icon" Main Event The Rock vs. John Cena WWE Title Match CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho Triple H vs. The Undertaker (There has been talk of Shawn Michaels referring this match) Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal (Shaq's talks with the WWE have been successful and he is on board for this year's event) World Heavyweight Title Match Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (Daniel Bryan's slot in this match depends on how well he gets over in the coming weeks. He has certainly got off to a good start and has been getting the reaction the WWE have been looking for but if WWE perceive that he isn't getting over, they can easily swap Bryan for Mark Henry). Money in the Bank Ladder Match This will be filled with midcarders and upper midcarders who haven't made it onto the main card. The likes of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio etc if they don't have matches elsewhere. I also wouldn't be surprised if Rob Van Dam ends up in this match. It is widely expected that the WWE will sign RVD to a contract when his current TNA deal runs out in March and he is a former winner of this match. Divas Match Hopefully we will see Natalya turned face and feud WWE Woman's Champion and her partner Beth Phoenix in a match between the best two female workers in the company and finally a storyline that will actually matter going into the event. At last year's WrestleMania there was only room for eight matches so there is probably only room for one more match at this year's event though plans for the WM card change all the time. It is interesting that the idea to bring back the Money in the Bank ladder match when in June they have a pay-per-view based on the whole concept but with so many non-full time wrestlers in the main slots (Rock, Taker, HHH, Shaq, and in a way Jericho) they probably do need some kind of multi-man match to give wrestlers that otherwise would have the main slots on TV and house shows year round matches on the card.
