On last night's WWE SmackDown tapings in Seattle, a new match was made for WrestleMania 28. Teddy Long announced that Cody Rhodes will defend his Intercontinental Title against Big Show for the pay-per-view, taking place April 1st from Miami, Florida. The match puts an end to talk of a Shaquille O'Neal vs Big Show encounter at WrestleMania and it also shatters Goldusts' dreams of facing his brother in a title vs career match. The confirmed card for WrestleMania 28 has been updated and below; John Cena vs. The Rock WWE Title Match Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk World Heavyweight Title Match Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan Hell in a Cell Triple H vs. The Undertaker Intercontinental Title Match Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes Another match was potentially setup at last night's SmackDown tapings when Kane attacked Randy Orton in the main event of the show. Neither man currently has a match on the card for WrestleMania and we could easily see a Kane vs Randy Orton match. However that would indicate that the long expected Kane vs Zack Ryder feud won't continue into WrestleMania... leaving Zack somewhat left to dry. Other matches that have been talked about include a Team Lauriniatis vs Team Long multi-man tag match (which definitely seems to be the way they are going), perhaps Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry, David Otunga and Christian as Team Lauriniatis vs. Santino Marella and three other superstars, possibly including Great Khali and Rey Mysterio (if fit)). We have previously suggested it would be a good match to put Drew McIntyre in and screw over Long to join Team Lauriniatis. There has also been talk of a Money in the Bank Ladder match that would see potentially the likes of Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Jack Swagger and others involved. Plus a WWE Divas Title match between Beth Phoenix vs Kharma... though lately it has been Eve Torres that has been getting the storyline time on TV.
