WWE WrestleMania 33 Card After Fastlane
The Showcase of the Immortals gets its Universal Title match.
There are still four weeks' of television to go before WrestleMania 33 on April 2nd, with last night's Fastlane pay-per-view serving as the last major stop on the road to Orlando.
Though the PPV didn't bring any fresh matches for the biggest show of the year, we now know that after Goldberg's 22-second victory over Kevin Owens last night, the former WCW Champion's match with Brock Lesnar will be for the WWE Universal Championship.
Lesnar vs. Goldberg is expected to headline WrestleMania 33 ahead of the WWE Championship match, which should be Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt. Orton will face AJ Styles in a number one contender's match on this week's SmackDown, but his match with Wyatt has been in the works for months.
Owens lost his Universal Title after being distracted by Chris Jericho's entrance music last night, which should lead to a United States Title match between the former best friends. Elsewhere, Bayley's successful title defence over Charlotte should lead to the expected four-way Raw Women's Championship bout, and Seth Rollins vs. Triple H is reportedly still planned. There were no fresh developments on the rumoured Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns match, however.
