WWE WrestleMania 33 Confirmed For Orlando - April 2, 2017
WrestleMania returns to the Sunshine State.
WrestleMania 33 will take place in Orlando's Citrus Bowl on April 2 2017. The news officially broke in The Orlando Sentinel, and WWE will follow up with a press conference later on Tuesday morning. The logo for the event has already been revealed, with the Citrus Bowl displaying the image on their big screen. Appropriately, it is the Mania sign with an exploding sun in the background. Returning to Florida will be a very popular move with WWE fans. The Sunshine State is easily accessible from the world over, with prices and flight times all reasonable. Accommodation is plentiful and not too expensive. There's also the lure of the beaches and theme parks, which will make Orlando more of a full on vacation for WrestleMania fans. As for the main event, John Cena versus The Undertaker is a strong possibility. Orlando won the event over a dozen other locations, with Minneapolis coming close. Also taking place will be the Hall Of Fame and post Mania Raw at the Amway Center. There'll also be Fan Axxess at the Orange County Convention Center. Recent improvements in the Citrus Bowl is what won WWE over, and Orlando are hoping to host the event every five years going forward.
